Ezechiel Pailhes - SOL (2026) [Hi-Res]

French musician Ezéchiel Pailhès has released his sixth solo album, Sol, which offers a modern interpretation of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) classics from the 1950s to the 1970s. The album's twelve tracks blend acoustic instruments, electronics, piano, and the traditional Brazilian cavaquinho. Rather than recording simple covers, Pailhès adapted the Portuguese lyrics into French, creating a unique musical prosody. Recorded in Rio de Janeiro, the album features contributions from prominent Brazilian musicians. This project continues a long tradition of French-Brazilian cultural exchange established in the 1960s by artists such as Henri Salvador and Claude Nougaro.
