UBAQ - Night WIP (2026) [Hi-Res]

The Marseille-based jazz trio ubaq, winners of the prestigious Rezzo competition at the Jazz à Vienne 2025 festival, have launched their debut full-length album, "Night WIP." The collective's creative concept is tightly interwoven with themes of nighttime, twilight, and introspective, melancholic wanderings. The album's music balances a complex, nostalgic atmosphere with a deep internal harmony among the band members. The recording features guest appearances by rapper and singer Talin, trombonist Jules Regard, and saxophonist Mathieu Fabre, all of whom introduce new textural dimensions to the soundscape. Driven by the musicians' personal experiences and observations, the tracks transform this debut release into a mature and multi-faceted artistic statement.
