Greek composer and laouto virtuoso Vasilis Kostas presents his debut solo album, "LÉNA." Dedicated to the memory of his mother, the record synthesizes traditional Greek folk music with contemporary jazz and world music elements. Recorded across Greece and the U.S. with an ensemble of distinguished musicians, the album is heavily influenced by the cinematic spirit of Keith Jarrett and Pat Metheny. Through its expansive sound, the work explores themes of memory, healing, and the universal human experience. Alongside his performance career, Kostas is a dedicated educator, directing multiple programs focused on preserving and teaching Greek musical traditions.
