Laurent Bardainne’s Prologue EP marks the reunion of the iconic band Poni Hoax, marking their first collaboration since the passing of Nicolas Ker in 2021. Featuring vocalists Pupajim and Melissa Weikart, the release blends sunny pop aesthetics, synth-rock, and electronic experimentation. Recorded at Fred Soulard's studio, the EP is not merely a retread of the band's past work, but rather an exploration of new genre boundaries, incorporating influences from indie, jazz, and electronic music.
