"The St. Louis Sessions" is a spontaneous studio EP from the Blue Earth Sound project, created by composer James Weir in collaboration with jazz musicians from St. Louis. The record expands on the cinematic aesthetic of the debut album "Cicero Nights," blending psychedelic jazz, soul, and 90s R&B influences. The work is characterized by its intimate atmosphere, an emphasis on live instrumental interplay, and experimental arrangement techniques, such as composing parts in reverse. The Chicago-based Blue Earth Sound project continues to solidify its international reputation through this atmospheric and highly collaborative body of work.
