Fox - The Best of Fox 1970-1990 (2011)

Fox — The Best of Fox 1970-1990 (released digitally and on CD in September 2011) is a comprehensive retrospective collection of the American rock band Fox from the New England region.

It's important to be clear: this band is not related to the Brooklyn folk-rock trio Fox (whose archival album Simple Songs 1971-1973 was released in the same year), nor to the renowned British glam-pop group Fox, featuring vocalist Nusha Fox.

Fox made history as one of the most successful and popular unsigned rock bands in New England, packing thousands of fans in the northeastern United States and eastern Canada during their heyday. Their live performances were characterized by their frenetic energy, and their devoted fans knew songs by heart that were rarely played on major radio stations.

The collection "The Best of Fox 1970-1990" features 21 tracks. It spans two decades of their musical journey, from their early hard rock records of the early '70s to the arena-ready thrashers and ballads of the late '80s. It includes such signature tracks for their fan base as "Keep On Rockin'," "Devil's Daughter," "Back On the Road," "Dreamers," and "Daddy's Got a Gun."
