Leadbeaters - Juice in the Crank (2026)

The Amsterdam-based string band 'Leadbeaters,' formed in 2016 by former members of the bluegrass outfit 'The Pedro Delgados,' is releasing their first full-length album, 'Juice In The Crank,' on June 19, 2026. Recorded by an updated four-piece lineup alongside several guest session musicians, the album blends traditional American old-time string band aesthetics with an authentic Cajun sound acquired during the group's tour of the American South. The 12-track release features three original compositions alongside covers of ancient Appalachian, bluegrass, and 19th-century Cajun traditionals. The record is characterized by rich backing vocals and dominant, energetic fiddle and banjo performances, creating a vibrant, festive atmosphere suited for live performances.
