The composition 'Naoto Dance' by saxophonist Benoit Baud is dedicated to his son and was created during the lockdown period. This release marks a new chapter in the musician's life and relaunches the Lyon-based MINIATUS QUARTET ahead of its 20th anniversary in 2026. Founded in 2006, the quartet performs free, organic music rooted in American jazz traditions, post-Coltrane free jazz, and the contemporary New York scene. The album features nine original, cross-genre tracks composed by Baud that blend elements of jazz, pop, hip-hop, and ethnic music, placing a core emphasis on spontaneous improvisation and emotional freedom.
