"Guantanamera" is a late studio album by the legendary Cuban musician, bandleader, and "King of Mambo" Pérez Prado, recorded and released in 1976 on the Mexican label Orfeón.

This release offers a vivid cross-section of the artist's work during an era when classic Latin American big bands were struggling to adapt to the new disco sound of the 1970s.

By the mid-1970s, Pérez Prado had long been living and working in Mexico, continuing to actively tour and record. "Guantanamera" clearly demonstrates how this old-school master fused his signature explosive Cuban rhythms with contemporary Western pop trends and elements of emerging disco music.
