The Kody Norris Show is a high-energy bluegrass band known for blending traditional roots with a fresh, modern edge. Fronted by Kody Norris, the group has built a reputation for dynamic live performances, tight musicianship, and a deep respect for the genre’s heritage. As the United States celebrates its Semi-quincentennial Anniversary this year, the band set out to honor the grit, sacrifice, and everyday strength that define this country with the release of their first concept album, SPIRIT OF AMERICA. Arriving June 26, the project looks back to the sounds and stories that shaped generations, featuring patriotic anthems, popular American folk classics listeners may have grown up with, alongside a selection of new originals designed to stand the test of time.
SPIRIT OF AMERICA includes two originals written specifically for the project: “Good Ol’ USA,” penned by Kody Norris and Grand Ole Opry performer Larry Chunn, and “United We Stand,” written by Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris and Conrad Fisher. It also marks a milestone for the group with the debut of Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris’s first-ever instrumental composition, “Declaration of Independence,” adding a distinctive and personal dimension to this celebration of American spirit and bluegrass tradition.
