"When the Clock Starts to Wake Up We Go to Sleep" is the sixth full-length studio album by American psychedelic rock band The Luck of Eden Hall, released in 2009 (although the first limited pressings date back to late 2008).
The album cemented the Chicago band's status as one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary American neo-psychedelia.

The Luck of Eden Hall, led by their longtime leader, multi-instrumentalist and artist Gregory Curvey, have always drawn on classic British music—from early Pink Floyd (the Syd Barrett era) and The Beatles to The Move and The Pretty Things. On this album, despite its cumbersome and enigmatic title ("When the Clock Starts to Wake Up We Go to Sleep"), the band presented highly accessible, melodic, and hit-driven material.

Music critics noted that the band managed to avoid excessive pretentiousness, creating an album that was easy to listen to yet instrumentally rich. It was thanks to this and subsequent works that the band soon caught the attention of the cult British label Fruits de Mer Records, which specializes in vintage psychedelia.
