The project is a deeply personal dedication to the singer's late father, featuring soul-inspired reinterpretations of classic Canadian songs rearranged with modern pop and reggae elements. The record also includes the long-awaited studio version of "Soul Life", co-written with Marty Casey and Ty Taylor during McNeil's breakthrough run on the CBS reality show Rock Star: INXS.
