Five years after it's first volume, Alternative Guitar Summit returns with Honoring Pat Martino, Vol 2, a second tribute to one of jazz guitar's towering voices. Drawn largely from 2021 pandemic-era sessions, these performances capture a moment when making music together carried renewed meaning and urgency. What began as a canceled live event evolved into a series of intimate studio recordings, bringing together a distinguished group of artists to celebrate Martino's enduring legacy.

Guitarists including Kurt Rosenwinkel, Cecil Alexander, Dave Stryker, Paul Bollenback, project producer Joel Harrison, and others, offer personal interpretations that reflect both reverence and individuality. Newly recorded tracks from 2025 complete the program, adding unique perspectives to this expansive portrait. Rather than replicate Martino's singular voice, these artists honour his legacy by engaging the depth, sophistication and genius of his compositions, reaffirming their place at the heart of the modern jazz canon.
