Both musicians are widely known in the professional music scene as virtuoso session players of the highest caliber. Jim Oblon has long collaborated with Paul Simon (recording drums and guitar on the album "So Beautiful or So What"), while Mathias Kunzli is known for his work with Regina Spektor, Laurie Anderson, and Jon Cedada. "Copper Crown" is the result of their live studio collaboration and complete creative freedom.

"Copper Crown" is a raw, hypnotic, and entirely instrumental dialogue between these two masters. The release is based on the concept of minimalism and live improvisation: there are no complex studio overdubs, computer-generated sound graphics, or commercial gloss – just guitar run through vintage tube amps and inventive, live percussion.[/center]
