Brash Habits - Feel The Light (2026) Hi-Res

Released back in mid-May, which somehow feels like light-years ago, I probably would’ve missed this release from Maumee, Ohio’s Brash Habits, a band with a name every bit as good as its music, if it hadn’t been for the German blog onetwoxu. Honestly, the blog deserves a spot in your blogroll if you like your music loud, edgy, and recommended by an actual human with excellent taste.

With only a handful of social media followers and next to no information about the band online, Brash Habits could use a healthy dose of word-of-mouth. They deserve it. Their idiosyncratic blend of garage rock and punk is elevated by synths that are used sparingly but make all the difference.

There are several songs here, including Vampire and NineteenxNineteen, that let you know from the very first spin they (and you!) are onto something special.
