Faya Tess, who gained recognition in the 1980s and 1990s as the lead vocalist of the legendary group Tabou Le Rochereau (Afrisa International), once again confirmed her status as a "Freshwater Mermaid" (as the album title, La sirène d'eau douce, translates) on this album.
