Madder Lake - World (2013)

This is the band's third full-length studio album, released nearly 40 years after their classic release, Butterfly Farm (1974).

The recording of the album was beset by numerous difficulties, including lineup changes and serious health problems for original vocalist Mick Fettes. However, the album is surprisingly cohesive and retains the band's signature style.

Despite its short running time (eight tracks totaling approximately 30 minutes), World offers a colorful palette of styles. The idea for the record was inspired by a track of the same name by bassist Kerry McKenna. Unlike earlier albums, the vocals here are split between several members: Mick Fettes contributed his signature goblin vocals to the sunny "Dreaming" and the tongue-in-cheek "Hospital of Love," while other songs were performed by keyboardist John McKinnon and guest singer Neale Johns (Blackfeather).
