The release OSCILLA is a live recording of a performance by a jazz ensemble led by composer Garrett Folger (also referred to as the Horizon Trio), which took place in the fall of 2025 at the historic Treelawn venue in Cleveland. The atmosphere of the historic ballroom, the room's acoustics, and a high-quality piano largely shaped the album's sound. The trio's music balances on the edge of tradition and experimentation, combining powerful energetic flows with minimalist, tender melodies. The trio demonstrates a supreme level of interaction, where Folger's trumpet sets the conceptual framework, pianist Anthony Fuoco explores new sonic textures, and experienced drummer and prestigious ECM label artist Carmen Castaldi navigates the overall direction of the improvisation.
