"Supersuccessi n. 4" is a rare archival release by the enigmatic studio project The Green Future, released in 1978 on the Italian label Up (Up Records / Dischi Ricordi).
The Green Future name represented high-class Italian session musicians and composers (the practice of using English-language pseudonyms in Italy at the time was common to give the music an "international" status).
The "Supersuccessi" ("Greatest Hits") compilation series from the Up label consisted of instrumental versions of the year's top international and Italian pop hits, interspersed with original themes written by the label's in-house composers. The fourth release in the series (1978) focused entirely on the aesthetics of the heyday of disco and light jazz-pop.
The record is of particular interest to collectors of vintage Italian groove, retro lounge lovers and archival library music from the 1970s.
