British musician John Martyn died in 2009 at the age of 60. His career spanned over 40 years, during which he recorded and released 20 albums, including the acclaimed records "Grace and Danger" and "Solid Air."
The album was titled "Johnny Boy Would Love This," and featured musicians ranging from the relatively young Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, Beck Hansen, Morcheeba, and Bombay Bicycle Club to older members like David Gray, Phil Collins, and Robert Smith of The Cure.
Collins, who collaborated with John on two albums, describes his friend very positively: "Martyn was unique. Absolutely unique! He had a special power and emotion in his songs, and the listener felt as if he was singing the song to them with his acoustic guitar. I loved him very much, so I hope people will remember his music forever."
