The String Cheese Incident – A String Cheese Incident (1997)

A String Cheese Incident is the official debut album by the American band The String Cheese Incident (SCI), released in September 1997 on their own independent label, Sci Fidelity Records.

Unlike most traditional debuts, this album is a live album. It was compiled from the best recordings made during the band's performances at various clubs in their home state of Colorado (including the Fox Theatre in Boulder).

The album perfectly showcases the band's eclectic and distinctive foundation, which would later make them one of the leaders of the American jam scene.
