Unreal City – La crudeltà di Aprile (2013)

La crudeltà di Aprile (translated as "The Cruelty of April") is the debut studio album by the Italian progressive rock band Unreal City, released in April 2013 on the independent label Mirror Records.

This release instantly captured the attention of the prog community worldwide, establishing Unreal City as one of the most vibrant and promising young bands of the New Wave of Italian Prog.

The album's music is rooted in the golden age of Italian rock of the 1970s. The sound is imbued with a dark, theatrical atmosphere and complex structures. The band relies on vintage keyboards (Hammond, Mellotron, Moog), dense guitar parts, frequent rhythm changes and expressive vocals in Italian, following the traditions of such classics as Il Balletto di Bronzo, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso and Museo Rosenbach.
