Curió Curió - Amor Doente (2026)

Curió Curió is a debut project pairing Austrian-based Brazilian singer and actress Luiza Monteiro with German producer Dustin Braun. The album explores themes of plural identity through contemporary fusion: Brazilian MPB, psychedelic disco, and studio experimentation woven together.
Luiza, living in Europe, uses music to grapple with belonging when home becomes geographically and culturally fragmented. Her lyrics navigate relationships that resist clarity, the vulnerability of committing to an artistic path, and the acceptance of dislocation as an identity in itself.
Braun's production approach mirrors this uncertainty: initial musical concepts develop independently before acquiring Brazilian rhythmic and vocal textures that evoke rather than replicate heritage. Analogue techniques, tape, and live ensemble recording bring tactile depth and procedural intentionality to the sound.
The album ranges from street-level samba energy ("Bem Querer") to cosmically-tinged Brazilian boogie ("Vem pra Casa") and introspective meditations on culture and belonging. The closing track "A Cor do Meu Sonho" frames the project's core statement: the ability to inhabit multiple places simultaneously becomes not a problem but a strength.
