Colorado-based guitarist Josh Martin dedicates this work, titled "Western Mind," to his home state — its rugged mountain landscapes and the mythology of the American West, both real and imagined. The music conjures images of snow-capped peaks, canyons carved by rivers over millennia, and abandoned roadside bars glowing with flickering neon signs, remnants of a fading highway culture. The soundscape also carries echoes of wildlife: the careful footsteps of nocturnal creatures moving through long-abandoned mining towns that once teemed with life. The project bridges Colorado's physical beauty with the romantic myth of the Wild West, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in that space and embrace its spirit — the "Western Mind."
