Tom Reinbrecht feat. Claudio Roditi - Ten of a Kind (2026)

Saxophonist Tom Reinbrecht (alto, tenor, soprano saxophone) has formed a new quartet called Sacred Sounds, fulfilling a long-held creative wish. The lineup brings together European and American musicians: alongside Reinbrecht himself, the project features Brazilian trumpeter and flugelhorn player Claudio Roditi, pianists Jan Eschke and Karen Edwards, bassist Peter Cudek, and drummer Guido May. The project's central idea is to connect the American roots of jazz with Reinbrecht's own European musical background. Roditi plays a key role in this synthesis — often described as a "multinationalist," his Brazilian origins combined with his long career in the United States allow him to feel equally at home in both American and European jazz contexts, making him an ideal partner for realizing the quartet's vision.
