Milano Jazz Dance Combo - Milano Jazz Dance Combo (2009)

A characteristic release of the late 2000s era, Record Kicks is a modern jazz-dance that combines jazz, funk, soul, Latin jazz and the energy of club music. The project was led by brothers Gianni and Enzo Lo Greco, who are also known for their bands Soulstance and Quintetto Lo Greco.
The musicians consciously drew from the British jazz-dance scene of the early 1980s, as well as the dance-oriented jazz music traditions of the past decades. The music is quite diverse: it ranges from vocal soul jazz to instrumental Latin jazz and faster funk and jazz-dance compositions.

With contributions from Colonel Red, Dionne Charles, Alice Ricciardi, Roxie Ray, Katharine Ruestow and Felix, the album constantly changes its mood while maintaining a unified, club-oriented character throughout.
