Hyldon - Festa na Aldeia (2026) [Hi-Res]

Brazilian musician Hyldon, who began his professional career at the age of 14, forms along with Tim Maia and Cassiano the canonical triad of Brazilian soul pioneers. Having achieved widespread acclaim in the early 1970s with hits like "Na Rua, na Chuva, na Fazenda (Casinha de Sapê)" and "As Dores do Mundo," his career gained renewed momentum during the 1990s and 2000s. This resurgence was driven by other artists covering his work and the inclusion of his songs in key film and TV soundtracks, including City of God, Carandiru, Antônia, and the series Senna. Following repeated appearances at the Rock in Rio festival alongside acts such as Banda Black Rio, Bootsy Collins, and Orelha Negra, he toured the US in 2022 with Marcos Valle and Azymuth. This US visit led to a partnership with Los Angeles producer Adrian Younge, resulting in the psychedelic soul album HYLDON JID023, released on the Jazz is Dead label and featuring long-shelved archival compositions.
