Everett B Walters - 8206 (2026)

The jazz-funk ensemble Everett B. Walters was founded by brothers Michael Everett Brown (guitar) and Harold Walter Brown III (bass). Shaped by the influence of Chicago arranger Tom Washington (Tom-Tom 84), known for his work with Earth, Wind & Fire, the brothers built their early career performing in Chicago venues like the Cotton Club and The Click before relocating to Las Vegas in the early 1990s. They were later joined by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Stanley Small, completing the core writing team.

Over the years, the group released several instrumental records ("Catching the H Train", "Just Listen", "Long Road Home"), earning honors at the Akademia Music Awards, and contributed music to the television series American Soul under director Kurt Farquhar. The band maintains an active live presence, headlining and opening at events such as the City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival alongside acts like Boney James, Fattburger, Boyz II Men, and Will Downing.
