The legendary guitarist and vocalist Johnny Winter, who left an indelible mark on the blues-rock movement, is featured in the archival live release Live Bootleg Series Volume 7. Issued by Friday Music, the album makes its debut on 180-gram audiophile translucent red vinyl. The material for the series was fully curated and authorized by the artist during his lifetime, sourced from his personal archives collected across decades of non-stop touring.

The record features six extended performances steeped in Texan blues and hard rockin' blues. Highlights include expanded renditions of Jimmy Reed's classic "Shame, Shame, Shame," a rare performance of Muddy Waters' "Mean Mistreater," alongside Winter's own tracks like "Leland, Mississippi Blues" and "Don’t Take Advantage of Me." The limited LP package is rounded out with a rare photograph by Mick Rock and liner notes penned by blues-rock musician Warren Haynes.
