Mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski, who sings "from inside the music with unaffected purity and sincerity" (Telegraph) and pianist Timothy Lovelace, an active recitalist who heads the Collaborative Piano program at the University of Minnesota, have collaborated on this new recording of Schubert’s Lieder. Franz Schubert (1797–1828) revolutionised the Lied (German art song), composing over 600 works for voice and piano that perfectly blended intense poetic emotion with melodic beauty and dramatic piano accompaniment.
