Mangala Vallis - Microsolco (2020)

Microsolco (2020) is the fourth studio album by the Italian neo-progressive band Mangala Vallis, released on Ultranoise / Immaginatica.

This conceptual album explores the digitalization of society and humanity's loss of connection with the real, physical world (the title "Microsolco" translates as "Microgroove"—a reference to vinyl records as a symbol of authenticity and warmth). Musically, the album combines classical symphonic prog rock traditions with a modern, powerful, and dense sound. The album is characterized by expressive vocals, dynamic tempo changes, rich keyboard textures (with extensive use of the Hammond and Mellotron organs), and melodic guitar solos.
