Swedish multi-instrumentalist and jazz veteran Christer Bothén, widely recognized for his historic collaboration with Don Cherry and his mastery of the West African donso n'goni, has released a joint project with the trio Ghosted, featuring Oren Ambarchi, Johan Berthling, and Andreas Werliin. The album was issued via the Black Truffle label, which previously reissued his classic Afro-fusion record Trancedance.

The album's sonic architecture revolves around the interplay between Bothén's hypnotic bass clarinet, the buzzing acoustic tones of the donso n'goni, and Ghosted's driving rhythm section. Built upon rotating kraut-jazz grooves provided by bass and drums, the tracks are anchored by Oren Ambarchi's organ-like Leslie-cab guitar drones. Moving from meditative improvisations and staccato melodic textures to dark, trance-inducing soundscapes, the project draws parallels to Natural Information Society, Jon Hassell, and The Necks.
