Siavash Amini & Eugene Thacker - Songs for Sad Poets Vol. III (2026) [Hi-Res]

The third installment of the collaborative project "Songs for Sad Poets" by Iranian composer Siavash Amini (Siavash Amini) and American author Eugene Thacker (Eugene Thacker) explores the boundaries between the human voice, speech, and electronic sound (electronic sound). Inspired by the tradition of the "accursed poets" (poètes maudits), the work centers on the deconstruction of choral arrangements and Thacker's (Thacker) minimalist poetry, which undergoes digital manipulation.

Utilizing speech synthesis (speech synthesis) software and intricate audio processing, Amini (Amini) transforms sung words into abstract spectral ambient textures (spectral ambient textures). Within these compositions, the human voice loses recognizable form and semantic meaning, dissolving into the musical fabric. The album generates unsettling, lyrical, and haunting dark soundscapes (dark soundscapes) positioned at the intersection of avant-garde (avant-garde), drone (drone), and experimental electroacoustics (experimental electroacoustics).
