Ribs - COLD RIBS (2026)

The band RIBS, formed by four musicians from North Carolina, has released their first widely-available album. The group's musical style is an eccentric mix of post-punk and avant-garde rock, combining a Mark E. Smith-esque vocal delivery with elements of Faust-inspired krautrock, tight guitar riffs, and a hypnotic rhythm section. Across the record's ten tracks, frontman Mike Wallace delivers grim social observations, while the overall sound balances between the influence of Led Zeppelin, Captain Beefheart, Fugazi, and the experimental edge of This Heat.
