'Search' is a contemporary acoustic jazz album released in 2002 by the independent German label NABEL Records. The recording is co-led by German reed player Martin Fredebeul and pianist/composer Christoph Erbstösser, featuring Dutch double bassist Frans Van Der Hoeven and Belgian drummer Marc Lehan.

The repertoire pivots on interpretations of 20th-century jazz standards and modern compositions, featuring pieces written by Miles Davis, Tony Williams, Richie Beirach, and Cole Porter. The instrumental spectrum relies on the sonic contrast between Fredebeul's soprano saxophone and bass clarinet against Erbstösser's acoustic piano and electronic keyboard textures, supported by a subtle rhythm section.

Both co-leaders brought extensive formal training to the project.
