matahari sons - Sol en Berlin (2026) [Hi-Res]

German producer Ralf Droesemeyer (Ralf Droesemeyer), best known as co-founder of the nu-jazz outfit Mo’ Horizons, and Berlin-based DJ Niko Kavvadas (Niko Kavvadas) have launched their collaborative project The Matahari Sons. The origin of the duo dates back to the late 1990s, forming alongside the breakout success of Mo’ Horizons' album Come Touch The Sun, though their joint studio sessions remained unreleased for decades.

In 2025, the pair restored and updated these archival recordings for an official launch. Operating remotely between Droesemeyer's studio in Portugal and Kavvadas' base in Berlin, the duo is actively developing new material. Sonically, the project blends nu jazz, latin jazz, downtempo, and electronic jazz.
