Drew Gardner - White Clouds for Thousands of Miles (2026)

Musician Drew Gardner (Drew Gardner), who previously featured his zither performance in projects such as Elkhorn, The Heavy Lidders, and his solo record "Cygnus A", has released the EP "White Clouds for Thousands of Miles". The recording presents a solo performance on the chord zither using a harp-like technique, structured as a meditative suite. The compositions blend Hindustani classical music and spiritual jazz, drawing inspiration from Alice Coltrane (Alice Coltrane), santoor virtuoso Shivkumar Sharma (Shivkumar Sharma), and the Eno/Laraaji ambient collaboration "Day of Radiance". Conceptually tied to Chan Buddhist texts, the material was recorded live by Jesse Jarnow (Jesse Jarnow) during the "Frow Show" broadcast on independent radio station WFMU.
