Papaioannou's orchestral works! Byron Fidesz, an authority on Greek music, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studied cello and conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and for many years was the conductor of the Greek National Opera and the National Orchestra of Athens.He has dedicated his life to the discovery and dissemination of modern and contemporary Greek music, and his recordings are highly acclaimed.
