From the New World (1973) — vtoroy i odin iz samykh yarkikh studiynykh al'bomov nemetskogo kollektiva Pell Mell, zanimayushchiy osoboye mesto v istorii kraut-roka. Kak i v sluchaye so svoyey pozdney rabotoy Moldau, muzykanty obrashchayutsya k klassicheskomu naslediyu: tsentral'nym kontseptual'nym sterzhnem al'boma stala rokovaya interpretatsiya Simfonii № 9 «Iz Novogo Sveta» Antonina Dvorzhaka. Na etom relize Pell Mell udalos' nayti ideal'nyy balans mezhdu akademicheskim simfonizmom, syrym nemetskim khard-rokom nachala 1970-kh i virtuoznymi instrumental'nymi improvizatsiyami.

From the New World (1973) is the second and one of the most striking studio albums by the German band Pell Mell, occupying a special place in the history of krautrock. As with their later work, Moldau, the musicians draw on their classical heritage: the album's central conceptual core is a rock-inspired interpretation of Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World." On this release, Pell Mell found the perfect balance between classical symphonic style, raw German hard rock of the early 1970s, and virtuosic instrumental improvisations.
