Pell Mell - Rhapsody (1976)

Rhapsody (1976) is the third studio album by the German band Pell Mell, continuing the band's conceptual line of integrating classical music into the structures of heavy progressive rock. Following the success of Marburg (1972) and From the New World (1973), this album saw the band perfect their signature symphonic hard rock style. At the center of the album is the epic multi-movement suite "Rhapsody," based on works by Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin, where academic discipline meets the raw, psychedelic energy of the German prog scene of the 1970s.
