Italian percussionist and producer Gabriele Poso released his sixth studio album, Maraviglia, celebrating collective musicianship and the energy of live performance. The record's concept draws heavily on late-1970s Italian disco aesthetics, seamlessly interwoven with Mediterranean melodies and Afro-Caribbean percussion. Recorded live to tape in an analog studio in southern Italy, the album captures the authentic resonance of its instrumentation, ranging from Hammond organ and Rhodes keys to a powerful brass section.
