The title TOLD functions both as a narrative concept of shared stories and as an acronym of the musicians' names. Throughout the record, the duo defies traditional instrumentation roles: David Tixier blends acoustic piano with Fender Rhodes, Moog synthesizers, and digital signal processing, while Lada Obradovic expands her drum kit with a glockenspiel, kalimba, samples, and percussion. Fusing intricate rhythmic patterns with deep emotional resonance, the album sits at the intersection of Contemporary Jazz, Ambient, and Modern Classical, accompanied by visual artwork from Manuel Šumberac and liner notes by writer Nastja Kulović.
