Peter Banks - The Roots Of Yes 1964-68 (2009)

The Roots of Yes 1964-68 (2009), by original Yes guitarist Peter Banks, is a compilation of rare archival recordings from the musician's pre-revolutionary days.

The Roots of Yes 1964-68 (2009) is a valuable document of rock archaeology, compiled and released by guitarist Peter Banks, who shaped the sound of Yes's first two albums. The collection traces the evolution of Banks and his future Yes collaborator, bassist Chris Squire, leading up to the formation of the seminal prog rock band. The album contains rare, previously unreleased, and restored demos, singles, and live sessions from the 1960s by such bands as The Devil's Disciples, The Nite People, and, most notably, the legendary proto-psychedelic group The Syn.
