Porcelain Tongue - Don't Obscure the Sun (2026) [Hi-Res]

Boise-based indie outfit Porcelain Tongue released their sophomore studio album Don’t Obscure The Sun, pressed on vinyl through local independent imprints Mishap and Moon Ruins Records. The record builds upon the emotional framework established in their earlier work, exploring themes of grief, memory, personal loss, and the catharsis of moving forward.

Musically, the release is rooted in a heavy post-rock soundscape, combining anthemic melodies, riff-driven dynamics, and the introspective lyrical work of songwriter Max Voulelis. Moving beyond the raw mourning of their debut Goodbye Peggy, the new tracks strike a deliberate balance between somber melancholia and underlying optimism. Driven by contrasting structural shifts, the album solidifies Porcelain Tongue's place within Idaho's contemporary underground guitar scene.
