Johanna Demker - Madness (2011)

Ten years after her delicate acoustic debut, Swedish-Norwegian singer-songwriter Johanna Demker released Madness (2011), one of the most dynamic, confident, and mature albums in her discography. Released on the prestigious Norwegian label Grappa Musikkforlag, the album marked a noticeable shift from the soft melancholy of Scandinavia to a denser, earthier, and more austere Americana sound (roots rock & Americana). The record captures the artist at a moment of maximum creative freedom, where poetic reflection blends with vibrant guitar energy.
