Maïa Nunes - Lake Burst (2026)

Maïa Nunes is an Irish-Trinidadian composer, vocalist, visual artist and sound healer. Debut album Lake Burst explores “the geo-mythology of Irish lakes as symbols of death and rebirth, sites of healing and transformation, and portals to the Otherworld,” as well as integrating “the experimental sound worlds of her visual arts practice with more traditional song-form.”

It was produced by Brendan Jenkinson, and also features Brendan Doherty (drums), Steve Welsh (saxophone), and Sélène Saint-Aimé (bass).
