The Collection (2015) is a digital compilation album collecting key instrumental and vocal-orchestral works from Andrew Loog Oldham's production project. Formed in the mid-1960s as a marketing and creative offshoot, the Andrew Oldham Orchestra & Chorus reimagined hits of the British Invasion (primarily by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Kinks) in lush, monumental symphonic arrangements. The anthology underscores the project's historical significance: it was these baroque orchestral sessions that later gave the world the recognizable string section for The Verve's iconic track "Bitter Sweet Symphony."
