Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats - Shapes Of Midnight (2026) [Hi-Res]

British cult outfit Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, led by frontman and songwriter Kevin Starrs, is set to release their seventh studio album, Shapes Of Midnight, via their own label Killer Candy Records on September 18, 2026. The new record marks a return to the band's signature guitar-driven stoner rock and proto-metal sound following their 2024 synth-laden soundtrack experiment.

Conceptually inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's macabre literature and modern societal anxieties, Shapes Of Midnight was recorded live to analog tape over three days at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Utilizing vintage 1960s EMI mixing consoles and classic equipment, the band refines their signature "Evil Beatles" sound, pairing eerie vocal harmonies and catchy pop hooks with heavy riffs, NWOBHM-style guitar work, krautrock synthesizers, and subtle jazz textures.

UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS is:
