Misha Panfilov - Live in Leipzig and Berlin (2026) [Hi-Res]

Multi-instrumentalist and producer Misha Panfilov, leading his ensemble Misha Panfilov Septet (also recording under the moniker MPSC), captured the energy of their German tour on the album Live In Leipzig And Berlin. Released by Funk Night Records, this live document merges flutes, dual saxophones, vintage Wurlitzer electric piano, guitar, lap steel, and a heavy rhythm section to explore psychedelic jazz, jazz-funk, and library music.

Recorded live at Berlin's Gretchen club and Leipzig's Backstein West, the set features four expansive compositions: Follow the Clouds, The Sky for You and I, Dryland, and New Orbits. The lineup features drummer Leonid Galaganov, bassist Monika Erdman, flutist Ilja Gussarov, saxophonists Artur Leppik and Sasha Petrov, keyboardist Volodja Brodsky, alongside Misha Panfilov on guitar and lap steel. Housed in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket featuring artwork by Stiina Kokko and mastered by Jukka Sarapää, the release stands as a vital artifact of modern European jazz-funk and improvised music.
