Abul Mogard performs personalised, quiet-loud material from his panoramic, semi-autobiographic, 2025 LP - the opening gambit on his Soft Echoes folio - live in a former Swedish mine at Norbergfestival

“Ahead of the Berlin A/V premiere of "Quiet Pieces", Abul Mogard releases "Quiet Pieces – Live at Norbergfestival", recorded on 10 July 2026 at Norbergfestival, an experimental festival held across a former mining area in Norberg, Sweden.

The performance took place inside Mimerlaven, the festival’s vast former mining structure. Built in 1957 as a pithead frame for the extraction and processing of iron ore, Mimerlaven remained part of the region’s mining industry until operations ceased in the 1980s. The building’s vast, reverberant acoustics became an integral part of the performance.

The recording captures Mogard’s live interpretation of material from his 2025 album, reworking and reshaping it in a live setting.

The Berlin A/V premiere, created in collaboration with visual artist Marja de Sanctis, will take place as part of HALF LIGHT at silent green’s Betonhalle on 23 October 2026.”
